If there’s one thing we’ve learned in the past 8 weeks, it’s that eeeeverybody has an opinion. Opinions about what to do next, opinions about what’s the greatest priority, opinions about the government, opinions about YOU. So what should you do about it? The mindset that’s really making a difference for me right now, is the mindset of acceptance. I’m working to accept that other people have an opinion about what I’m doing or not doing. How I’m moving about in the world as the economy is re-opening or how I’m not moving about in the world. Are you accepting that everyone’s going to have an opinion and that’s okay? You don’t have to interact with it, you don’t have to agree with it, you don’t have to push against it, just acknowledge and accept, that other people have an opinion and that their opinion if you is none of your business – even if they share their opinion of you, with you.
So I think this is a time as we move into this next phase of volatile re-opening, perhaps re-closing and then re-opening again, that we all need to practice just detaching from the opinion that others have about us. So I hope that makes a difference for you like it’s making a difference for me. Keep in mind: you have an opinion about everything; you don’t have to share it with everyone. And just because you have an opinion doesn’t mean anything and it’s not the truth about the other person, it’s just your opinion.
So let’s get ready, and let’s get ourselves into a state, a very powerful state as we move into this next phase of volatility.
